The law also prohibits telemarketers from using false or misleading statements to promote their products.

The company also did not provide class members with written agreements. The class action against Travel Resorts of America claims that the practice violates the EFTA and the federal antitrust laws. As a result, the company also did not provide class members with written agreements. Those who are affected by the class action must receive written agreements to avoid being scammed by the company. Alternatively, the class action is filed in federal court. Depending on the circumstances, the plaintiff’s lawyer may be able to collect damages for the costs of the trial.

In addition, the company failed to provide its class members with written agreements, resulting in a class action. It is alleged that the plaintiffs’ complaints, in this case, are not unique in the industry and that the group was unaware of the legal actions being taken against it.
The company’s website states that it charges a daily resort fee. The fee includes amenities such as high-speed internet, airline boarding pass printing, fitness center access, and concierge services. The daily resort fees range from $15 to $45 per day, which allows Travel Resorts of America to deceptively advertise prices. The agency has warned that price dripping is an unlawful practice that can harm consumers. The federal government has issued a warning against this practice in 2012 and has since launched investigations into the practice.

Joining the class action suit against TRA
I would like to know how to become part of the lawsuit against Travel Resorts America. My wife and I were lied to by TRA employees in Greensboro, Ga. when signing up for the program. We are disgusted with this company and want some legal representation.
We would also like you to join this class action lawsuit against Travel Resorts of America. My husband and I have also dealt with this company that has zero integrity. Selling to perspective members a campground they were no longer going to own. Also never advised current members of their plans. Lied to about the services that were going to be instituted such as security.
Did you find out how to join the class action lawsuit?
Hi Michelle! Did you end up finding out any more information about what all of our options are?
My fiancé and I are looking into a class action lawsuit against Travel Resorts of America! From the very beginning we have been trying to cancel with Travel Resorts of America After they would not let us cancel even when we were within our contract guidelines, we hired a company called Primo management Group and paid them $4,150.00 to represent us in exiting the “timeshare”… they told us to completely stop all contact with TRA and any collection agency’s over a year ago. Since then, TRA has sold our debt to a company called Meridian (a debt collector). After finding out that our account is in collections we let PMG know and they are offering a service for an additional $1,500.00 that includes lawyers services (DC Capitol Law Firm)! After doing more research into this, we are finding that these services are all a scam, and that companies similar to TRA are suing DC Capital Law Firm and Primo Management Group for misleading consumers into thinking that it is okay to just stop paying your monthly and yearly payments. Something is seriously wrong here and this has turned into a nightmare and we are in the process of building a home. This is ruining everything. If anyone has any advice on what we should do it would be greatly appreciated.
My wife and I would like information on this suit and wish to be a part of it. We were lied to and as a result have continuously lost money month after month. The practices of Travel Resorts of America are false and deceptive.
We were sold on the fact that a specific resort was part of the TRA. Travel Resorts of America knew but did not disclose at the time of our agreement that the resort had already been sold. Our agreement very clearly lists Luna Sands Resort as one of our main Resorts. This resort was already sold and none of this is discussed or documented. We did not agree to this and want TRA held accountable.
Hi , have you any information about who is handling this law suit? It’s been a nightmare!
We need to talk about getting together on this issue. My fiancé and myself are in the same exact boat as you are.
I need to join this law suit with TRA too ! Same complaint as others on this blog. Please advise .
We need to all get together on this issue! There are about 20 separate families saying the same thing. My fiancé and myself have filed a complaint with the BBB and Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. There is major fraudulent activity going on here.
Isa this lawsuit still ongoing? I desperately need to join this case . Complaint listed are all the same and corespondence to TRA got so bad I don’t communicate with the company $. 10,000 plus was charged to a credit card from “Coast to Coast” the mgr had opened in our name the first day we sat with him in his office , 2 days later charged the card $10,693.00 , not give legal cancellation dateline . No knowledge or information about credit card with us , no contract documents ,electronic signatures pasted to document with detailed explanation, refused to let us read them . Talked to demand cancellation and learned cancellation guy didn’t want to agree , no wonder! They already got the huge lump sum in their hands and now we have a debt with bank . Bank after an hour disputing , tells us , time for dispute has expired!! The very day of phone call!! Help us please. Disabled Vietnam vet , over 65 , on fixed income and hardship with marriage has occurred , maintenance fees totally separate charges . Please , and source or guidance is worth the cause . Thank you and I also feel your complaints

This is the worst membership I can imagine, we were lied to about our “free vacations”. Turns out they all cost a lot. We have repeatedly been unable to book reservations even though we’re were told that members are a priority.

I also would like to add to the complaints with Travel Resorts of America. They push the reps to give false information about the entire program. They make it seem like there is nothing better out there. Now, I just got a bill in the mail stating that I have to pay 2024 and 2025 Reinstatement fees. What is that? I never asked to continue with this nor to be reinstated. They have instantly turned this over to a place called Equiant which they state is where the money goes and that they are also a collection agency that states they will hit my credit hard and bury me basically in bad credit. They do not answer the phone nor do they return a phone call request. I am a Retired Disabled Veteran…. I cannot believe they treat people like this and are allowed apparently to do this cause no on is stopping them. I ask for help…. I don’t want any money returned…. heck, the Lawyer that fights and beats this corrupt organization can keep any awarded money…. I just want to be left alone.

I feel like a fool that I fell for this camping catastrophe. We really want to use it as we have just retired. I just paid their mail ten e fee for this year around 450. Today I got a letter because it was due on June 1 I think… no bill or notice. I called them. We ended up paying them June 26 when we had enough money. So todays letter says I owe more because of a reinstatement fee. Guess how much. 480 bucks!!!! I will call and beg and feel like more of a fool on the phone tomorrow to try to get them to drop this reinstatement fee. I our whole lives we have never been so taken advantage of. It’s mind boggling how we ended up in this situation.

My husband and I joined TRA and were lied to about the type of membership we had. We have had so many issues with this company and the completely rude people you have to talk to just to continuously get disconnected every time we mention getting a lawyer involved. They know they lie and say whatever in order to get a sale. It is so wrong that they can do this.

We would like to have more information regarding the lawsuit against TRA. They have changed our contract multiple times, without our consent. The most recent change is we have to cancel a reservation 7 days in advance, or we are charged $100.00. This is not in the original contract we signed. We received an email stating that this is in effect. This is not tThe first time TRA has changed our contract without our consent. We had upgraded our account, and although they were taking out the upgraded payment every month, our information in their computer was never updated so we could not use the upgraded benefits.
I need to join the class action law suit against TRA. Paid almost close to 20,000 dollars, know they are charging maintenance fees and membership fees annually, billed me then automatically deducted from my bank account without my consent.
We need to join the class action lawsuit against TRA, to cancel our existing Membership.
please send us information and forms required to do this.
